What is a USB-C DisplayPort (DP Alt Mode) Cable?- Cables with Type-C connector can offer DisplayPort technology via an alternative mode (Alt mode).
- Alt Mode allows USB-C ports to transfer data/video via multiple interfaces, including DisplayPort video interface
- The USB-C ports capable of transferring DisplayPort signals are called USB-C DisplayPort or DP Alt Mode
- Allow to connect video sources (e.g. PCs, Blu-Ray players, etc.) and display devices (e.g. TVs, projectors, etc.) that support DisplayPort to each other via their USB-C ports
- The main confusion over USB-C DisplayPort cables emerges because not all USB-C ports, available on the hardware (e.g. notebooks…) features the DisplayPort Alt Mode functionality
