- Extension Cable for video transmission between sources and display devices that support USB-C Alternate Mode
- Alternate Mode (DisplayPort Alt Mode) is part of the USB Type-C interface specification and allows the transmission of DisplayPort signals (see below)
- Since the Type-C connector requires less space, it is often found on mobile devices (ultrabooks, notebooks/laptops) and anywhere where multiple connectors need to be combined in a small space, such as on a graphics card
- For screen transmissions in excellent quality with resolutions of up to 3840x2160 / 4096x2560 @60Hz!

What is a USB-C DisplayPort (DP Alt Mode) cable?- Cables with Type-C connector can offer DisplayPort technology via an alternative mode (Alt mode).
- Alt Mode allows USB-C ports to transfer data/video via multiple interfaces, including DisplayPort video interface
- The USB-C ports capable of transferring DisplayPort signals are called USB-C DisplayPort or DP Alt Mode
- Allow to connect video sources (e.g. PCs, Blu-Ray players, etc.) and display devices (e.g. TVs, projectors, etc.) that support DisplayPort to each other via their USB-C ports
- The main confusion over USB-C DisplayPort cables emerges because not all USB-C ports, available on the hardware (e.g. notebooks…) features the DisplayPort Alt Mode functionality
